Be our BFF!

September 23, 2009

Hey kids, we know what you’re thinking.  “Another burlesque festival?”  Yeah, so were we.  Thing is, we’ve wanted to do this for a long time but just hadn’t hit on that one idea that would make it worth throwing our hat into the ring with all of the other fantastic festivals.  Until now.

Introducing “The Chicago International Burlesque Fringe Festival” (August 18-22)! The first burlesque festival of it’s kind.  See, at all the other festivals you get to see a slew of solo performers shaking their stuff.  And it’s great.  But the thing you DON’T get is to see what other cities are producing as far as ENTIRE SHOWS.  How many times have you heard great things about Pinchbottom, Key West Burlesque, The Wet Spots, Belles & Whistles, Burlesque Bash or any of the other thousand shows and wished you could travel to all of those cities and see the them?  At The Chicago International Burlesque Festival you can.  BFF is the ONLY BURLESQUE FESTIVAL IN THE WORLD entirely devoted to showcasing full productions by international artists.  Come to Chicago in August of 2010 and you’ll get to see top talent and a whole series of fully produced shows.

In addition to that, we’ll be hosting an all original works “Film Festival”, striptease open mics with live band every night, a burlesque themed, multi-city “Naked Girls Reading“, Chicago tours and beach fun and so much more.

Not to mention (except that we’re mentioning it) a special showcase – The Superstars of Burlesque.  You will not want to miss this.

So, if you’re a fan stay tuned for schedules and travel notices.  And if you’re a producer, put your reel together and get ready.  Applications are available NOW!  This is YOUR festival!

Oh yeah, and welcome to the Windy City.
